The new initiatives of custom enforcement anti-smuggling organization

The Custom Enforcement Anti-Smuggling Organization's new initiatives have come to light, as they have been actively cracking down on selling confiscated goods in the open market. The mentioned team is now under the radar of the FIA (Federal Investigation Agency) Anti-Corruption Circle, and extensive investigations have been initiated on a large scale. According to details, a raid was conducted on a warehouse in the Naurus Chowrangi area, where goods worth millions of rupees were seized. Assistant Collector Kashm Aman Sadiq is also aware of this, as reportedly, the team blatantly displayed smuggled goods when nearly 40 million rupees worth of items were sold in a market. The items included perfumes, chocolates, and other goods, as reported by Daily Shahr-e-Qaideen on December 11, 2023. However, the FIA Anti-Corruption Circle has launched a major investigation into this raid, starting with scrutinizing Muhammad Imran's claims. According to the application, the area in Naurus Chowrangi, where the raid occurred, falls under the jurisdiction of Better House, where the Kashm Enforcement team, including Assistant Collector Aman Sadiq, IPS Farooq Mair P, Soldier Nauman Ali, Driver Shah Wazir Nauman, and Private Driver Shaukat, participated. They recovered 65-inch LED TVs, used cigarette packs, used plates, used body sprays, used mobile phones, and other items. It's noteworthy that the aforementioned officers and officials sold all the items in Karachi's electronic market, Bolton market, and various other markets. The application states that both soldiers and Nauman have been involved in criminal activities in the past as well. It also states that the seized goods were brought to the Customs Center on the third day, and 50% of the items were found missing in the meter report. Additionally, a 40-foot container, a 20-foot container, and a Mazda filled with goods were taken to the Seatz Dry Port. The company owners have requested action against the officers involved in the raid on a large scale. Director FIA Sheikh Zaeem has ordered a large-scale investigation into this request, followed by Additional Director FIA Anti-Corruption Circle Jawed Bloch, who has initiated scrutiny. Sources further reveal that this is not an isolated incident; the team has carried out several such operations that might surface during investigations. It's worth mentioning that Collector Yaqoob Maqoon has been removed from the team, but the team is still efficiently carrying out its operations in the city. Sources suggest that their scandal is of such magnitude that people might forget about the mega corruption scandal.
