Deprived of the monthly revenue providing driving licenses and diesel to the government worth crores of rupees. On one side, officers' mobile phones were standing, while on the other side, during load shedding, the generator not running due to a lack of diesel began to add to the frustration of the city dwellers. Based on the provided information, there are over a dozen active driving license branches across Sindh, including prominent areas like Karachi, Larkana, Mirpur Khas, Sukkur, Nawabshah, Hyderabad, Korangi, Saudabad, Saeedabad, Malir, Qaidabad, Nazimabad, and Cottan. This network of branches serves the region, facilitating the issuance and renewal of driving licenses. While in Sindh, "Learning Driving Licenses" have been issued in every district, including Umerkot, Badin, Mirpurkhas, and others, which include age, health, and other requirements. The sources state that all driving license branch license fees contribute to a monthly revenue of more than 10 crore in the regional context, benefiting the government. While the "learning driving license" being issued is also a source of millions in monthly government revenue, Despite that, the charges of the DS pipes and 'Driving License Inspection' inspectors in these branches have been standing idle because their fuel supply has been cut off for almost two months. While many branches have generators that operate during load shedding, they are also shut down at that time due to the lack of diesel. The influx of urban residents to branches for obtaining licenses leads to a substantial evening rush, causing a potential disruption in the process. As per the available information, diesel has been banned across various entities, including the Driving License Branch, DSPs (Deputy Superintendents of Police), and inspectors. Citizens operating branches for issuing licenses to avoid traffic challans have requested authorities address the issue of diesel unavailability. If possible, extend load-shedding hours outside the branches to ensure residents from distant areas don't face inconvenience.
